About the role

We are looking for an ambitious Junior support engineer to join our growing IT team.

  • Be the first point of contact for the IT ticketing system by reviewing, processing and assigning support tickets
  • Read and analyse application / ticket logs to identify issues and escalate as necessary and where possible solve issues for minor support tickets.
  • Ensue support tickets are processed as per SLAs
  • Coordinate with the ticket owner to investigate issues if required and follow up as needed.
  • Manipulation of data in SQL database and documentation of data.
  • Minor debugging of software applications that are in use
  • Collaborate with Web, systems and networking teams as required to solve ticket issues in the most efficient manner.
  • We only hire team players, but you will also be able to work well alone using own initiative.

 Key Skills for this role -

  • This will be an ideal role for an IT graduate or Junior developer looking to work with a busy web & systems development team.
  • Experience in handling basic database queries with MS SQL
  • Hands on experience with handling a ticketing system,
  • Basic knowledge of any coding language (preferably C# .net MVC), QA testing and agile methodology.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with internal teams at all levels
  • We only hire team players, but you will also be able to work well alone using own initiative.

 Good to have skills

  • Experience in C#.net (MVC), Dev Ops (VSTS) will be an advantage
  • Previous experience of working in a busy e-Commerce IT team will be an advantage
