About the role

We are looking for an ambitious Systems Engineer to join our growing IT Networks team and will be responsible for

  • Microsoft Hyper-V clusters administration & maintenance:
    • Performance monitoring / optimization.
    • Maintenance / resources deployment procedures (new VM deployment, cluster-aware updating, etc.).
    • POWERSHELL scripting.
  • Microsoft Windows Server OS administration.
  • Local network management (network segmentation, VLAN’s configuration, DHCP/DNS configuration, etc.).
  • Microsoft Active Directory configuration / administration (hybrid on-premises / Azure-based environment).
  • General Linux systems’ administration (installation / updates / backup-and-restore / security configuration / etc.).
  • Microsoft Azure operations:
    • Resources deployment & management (computing, networking, content).
    • Advanced Azure features (Service Fabric Clusters, Docker containers, etc.).
    • Azure networking (virtual networks, site-to-site / IPSEC / Express-Route links).
    • Performance / availability monitoring (Azure Metrics, Azure Log Analytics, Logs Workspaces).
    • Azure CLI / POWERSHELL scripting.
  • Collaborate with Web, systems development teams as required to solve any issues in the most efficient manner.
  • Have the accountability and availability 24/7 to resolve any urgent networking and infrastructure issues.

About You

  • This will be an ideal role for an experienced systems administrator / engineer looking for their next challenging move.
  • You will need to have 8+ years’ experience in a similar role.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering and will employ tools to improve the development team’s production.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with internal teams at all levels.
  • We only hire team players, but you will also be able to work well alone using own initiative.

Knowledge or experience in any one or more of the following will be an advantage

  • DELL hardware (COMPELLENT storage engine, ISCSI / Ethernet data-switches, INTEL-based servers).
  • NGINX load-balancer (in stand-alone or cluster operation).
  • CISCO Meraki firewalls.
  • VEEAM Backup & Replication software.
  • (MVC), Dev Ops (VSTS).
  • Previous experience of working in a busy e-Commerce IT team.
